Vietnam’s long coastline means the best time to visit depends on where you’re going. The north (Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Sapa) is driest and coolest from October to December. Central Vietnam (Hoi An, Hue) is best from February to May before the summer heat and autumn rains. The south (Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta) is warm year-round, with a dry season from December to April.
